K-State Extension Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) promote healthy eating to improve and maintain health, foster development of good nutrition practices among children and increase the likelihood of independence among senior adults. Also, K-State University educators provide information on safe food handling practices in order to prevent foodborne illnesses.
